Motivation: wanted to see daily and seasonal fluctuations for renewable energy for different locations of the world, using hourly data from the PVGIS tool.
Select a location on the map to access post-processed statistics, and use the menu to select another continent. Data from PVGIS version 5.1 is used for weather and PV power, and a simple model is used to assess wind power potential of a site. More accurate wind power models are provided at the Renewables.ninja website. Following re-analysis models are used for Oceania:
We provide post-processed results using data for years 2005 to 2015, with UTC data converted to local time. For solar we model fixed building integrated photovoltaic solar panels with an optimal inclination angle. More solar options can be explored with the PVGIS tools.
